First time Going to this chipotle grill. Everything was good for the most part I absolutely love chipotle but I have to say idk if was just the tortilla they happen to pick this time or what but it seemed extra small this time or maybe the food server was such a great burrito folder idk ahah so that was okay! But what I really didn't care for this is especially important on a hot summer day was that the soda itself that came out of the dispenser was luke warm an flat. When you have soda that's a no go! But other than that I have no complaints as usual good customer service get in an get out quick service! :)

I love Chipotle! I've been here many times, and I've enjoyed the food everytime. I got the burrito bowl this time. The burrito bowl comes with rice, beans, salsa, meat, cheese and lettuce. I decided to go with a chicken burrito bowl with no beans, but with the corn salsa. The corn salsa is definitely my favorite! The portion of the burrito bowl is huge. I actually prefer it more than a regular burrito, because it was easier for me to eat. =)

My first time, so ordered burritos for the staff, 5 burritos, $40. The burritos were huge. I loved the lime chips. I am looking at the burrito bowl next time, looks even larger then the burrito! They are really frugal on the cheese and salsa for your chips. You have to pay extra for quacamole. Everything is behind the counter, so you can't help yourself to salsa for your chips and have to beg for extra from the staff.

The "Shrinking Ray Gun" has hit Chipotle. Their serving portions are not what they use to be. And, if you feel you have been shortened they will charge you extra if you mention it. Over all their food is great and always fresh.

This is mostly a 5 for effort and positive consistancy. I like Chipotle, but I like it even more since I saw the extra scene in the movie Food Inc. where they talk about how they try to source organic meat and veggies. What they did not say is that Chipotle's is a subsidiary of McDonalds - which gave me mixed feelings. But I approve heartily of this new direction for McDonalds so I am a tentative fan. This is simple well cooked, and pretty fast food, it's not drive in, but I think it is excellent. It is a bit much ... like twice as big as I need. After trying the burritos several times, I now just eat the salads, and they are great. The food is well-priced, as I said, a bit too much ... I wish it was easier to get something smaller, or take home and eat the next day, but I never do. The beverage selection is not so great, but adequate, I usually just get water because of all those calories. Anway ... good concept, I'd like to see more places like this and some progress in fast good cheap food and good service .. thanks Chipotles, keep moving forward and I will stay a big fan!

Fresh Fresh and Fresh. I think Larry F. nailed it when he described Chipotle as "consistent". The flavor is always on point. The chicken and barbacoa are always marinated to it's full extent. As you go down the assembly line, don't be shy. They have a policy that requires them to create any kind of burrito, taco or salad, just as long as they have the ingredients. I once ordered a quesedilla with chicken and barbacoa. Scrumptious! They are sure to give you more than enough food. But just in case you want a little extra, try their tortilla chips with a hint of lime and a side of guacamole. It goes great with a chicken burrito bowl. Heres a tip: Are you counting calories? Well this is the BEST place to go if you want to fill your stomach without exceeding your caloric intake for the day. Get a chicken burrito bowl, rice, black beans, a hint of cheese, substitue the sour cream for guacamole, and some salsa and VIOLA! You have a 500 calorie bowl. Compare that to the thousands of calories you would have taken in for a value meal and McDonalds! Enjoy the freshness!

We LOVE Chipotle, my sister has been coming to this location for YEARS.....and since we work together I am the one always going to get lunch. Literally we have Chipotle twice a week just because we work up the street from them so it is very convenient for us to get healthy and fast pick up. Their food is tasty, always fresh and their chips and guacamole is to die for........but since I am the one picking up lunch I have noticed a lack in their employees, not sure what happened to the nice, happy, very helpful employees that they used to have....now if I want veggies on my "veggie bowl" I get the eye roll instead. I am sorry, but isn't a VEGGIE Bowl suppose to consist of Veggies? I am not a complainer and I HATE when anyone ever complains (I grew up with 7 family members) so I just bite my tongue and say thank you. There is one women who is always delightful...I believe her name is Helen. She works the cash register. If it wasn't for the food quality and how close it is we prob wouldn't be eating here otherwise.

This place is pretty awesome. I won't deny that. But -1 star because their new policy as of 2008 is to not give a free soda for college students!!! BOOOOO

  • Mike K.

So good. Way better than Baja Fresh! I like authentic but when I need faux-Mexican food that is fresh and made-to-order, I come here. FYI, their meat is hormone-free...check out Food Inc on DVD and see why that's important. Also, the stash of napkins is really helpful since I'm always running low in my car glove-compartment

They quality of ingredients I would definitely give five stars (wait until I review the one on El Camino - that one I will give five stars) - anyhow I LOVE Chipotle, however, this location is inconsistent. One time you will get equal/abundant amounts of rice, beans, chicken - another time it will be lacking, or like last week they will forget the chicken altogether - so watch them - I was being pushed through the line so fast they put the lettuce and quacamole on so quick I couldn't even tell the chicken was missing (chicken bowl). Another time during peak lunch hours they ran out of chicken and they tried to give me about two teaspoons of the bottom of the bucket chicken that was left - I said I would wait - so I had to wait about five minutes on my lunch hour just for the chicken to be prepared. If this location wasn't so close to my house I would always go to the other location in Palo Alto on El Camino - friendlier and they have always gotten my order right and they are just as busy as this location when I go. p.s. guacamole should not be $1.80 extra.

OMG, this place is really a health hazard. I mean people rip on McDonalds, but really I think this place, along with Chilis are way way worse for people. A burrito that weighs like 7 lbs? Come on.... And the way that everything is so greasy. The grease from the chips leaks through the bag that they scoop it into. Aside from that, the Chipotle is situated in a weird spot. You have to park behind it or try walking across the parking lot. Good luck with that. With the crazy Mountain View drivers half of whom should not have licenses, I wouldn't trust anyone. Also, I noticed that the line is rather long, every single time I go (which has been less than 5 times). I think the prices are decent for the food, but honestly if I ate there on a regular basis, I would probably be twice my size.

  • Jack D.

I doubt chipotle needs any reviews but i am writing one for the location for their kindness late at night. I forgot my wallet and guess what? My bowl is on the house! Thanks guys for your service! God bless!

Hardly any chicken in the burrito. All I tasted was very strong onions. I threw half of it in the trash. I will stick to the one in Sunnyvale.

Chipotle is the upscale Taco Bell. It's not as cheesy, both literally in terms of food and in terms of the restaurant decor. They have sort of an urban edge thing going what with the corrugated iron and wood fixtures. Chipotle scores major points for having Tabasco of multiple varieties available. Regular, green, smoked, you can get it. Woo! Also, Chipotle deserves props for having invented a "Burrito Bol" which is all the goodness in the burrito, sans tortilla. Purists scoff, but if you're looking to cut carbs, or want a burrito that won't have any chance of falling apart on you, then this is a Godsend. Yay Burrito Bol! This place is typically packed with folks around lunch time. Its location near the freeway, and the fact that it is near a Costco/stripmall make it a prime suburban feeding ground. I also see a lot of military folks in here. That having been noted, sometimes seating can be prime real estate. Something to remember if you're with a large group.

Minus 1 star for price being high (it's a freak'n burrito!) Minus 1 star for sloppy work: This location seems to consistently serve their food very sloppy. It is rare to get a burrito that isn't full of water that quickly falls apart. Get many napkins. Also, the Tacos are haphazardly made. There is no effort to keep the ingredients IN the taco shells. Getting tacos is a lot like getting a burrito bowl - they just pile everything on top of the taco shells. ANNOYING!

  • Ken N.

I love it when my lunches get cheaper and cheaper. After getting tired of the Burrito Supremo at Whole Foods, this might be my fix for burritos. Simple and small menu. Quick service! They have like 10 people back there running an assembly line. BAM BAM BAM DONE! Ultimate lazy ass way to eat a burrito - get a burrito bowl! Everything in a burrito in a bowl so you can eat it with a spoon. Both the chicken and steak were tasty. Plenty of flavor and not overcooked. You can ask for double meat for about $2 more. Decent outdoor area to eat on a sunny day. Thumbs up!

  • Mercy B.

I love burrito innards - not the tortilla! So, I love Chipotle's burrito bol! Definitely not authentic Mexican fare, but hey, it's fast and fresh.

  • K D.

Everything here is great! However, I cannot get enough of their fresh (and mild! why? because i'm a weakling who isn't very fond of spicy) salsa...nom nom nom. This place is great, although I'd highly recommend you ordering ahead of time to avoid long lines ( and yes lines here can get super long!)

  • Jade S.

I LOVE Chipotle. Mexican food can be greasy, fattening and unhealthy, but I like that Chipotle uses high quality ingredients. You can custom make your burrito with the various condiments. It is a great value meal. I can only eat half, and always save the other half for later. The idea of clean, healthy Mexican food is a winning idea! Dress up as a burrito wrapped in foil on Halloween and get a free burrito. No, I didn't try it, but the line was out the door last year.

  • Elise G.

Wow! This place really packs on the toppings! They don't skimp and everyone on the line was so friendly and upbeat!

Only now that I can't walk to Chipotle anymore do i realize how much I loved it...fast, convenient, fresh, and delicious. I practically lived on this stuff back when I had night classes and a job during the day. The staff at this location has always been pretty nice too, and the interior is bigger than some of the other Chipotles I've been to, which always helps. Go here! And bring me something!

In the past 21 years of my life (that's my whole life), I had never once tried Chipotle. Needless to say, my friends were shocked by this fact, and took me here on my lunch break. I was shocked by it authenticity, (That was sarcasm, for the slower people), but it was still pretty good. Reminds me a lot of more legit Baja Fresh. Luckily, we missed the crazy lunch rush, and we grabbed our grub within 5 minutes. Ingredients were fresh, staff was fast and friendly, and plenty of seating to be found. - minus 1 star for soggy chips drench in lime - minus 1 star for charging $2 for guac. - plus 1 star for not making me feel like a pig after

This is a very good sized Chipotle's which is a good thing cuz this place gets super busy during the lunch hour. I went with a group of about 25-30 coworkers. We were in and out fast. I was surprised! There seemed to be a steady stream of people lined up from the counter to the front door. First time I ordered a burrito since I don't really tend to care so many ingredients jammed together and rolled up in a giant tortilla. Wow, burrito was huge. Plenty of seating inside Plenty of seating out doors Somebody tell those folks to check the fountain drink machine through out the day. Both diet cokes dispensers were spttin out only a trace of soda. Its no fun waiting 10 -15 minutes for an employee to change the empty syrup bag.

So I came here twice in a week, first and second time to a Chipotle. My first time here, I give it 4stars. I ordered the carnitas burrito and chips/salsa. The burrito was huge, and the entire meal filling, couldn't finish all the chips. The burrito was awesome. I got the hot salsa, and dang was it hot. Second time here, I give it 1star. The Chipotler skimped on the rice, I got just a small handful of rice. This burrito was so small that it makes mini-me a giant. This burrito was no where near the size of the first time burrito. Frick'n $6.60 wasted. I could have gotten more food for less crossing the street over to Costco. Overall, you get 2stars.

I always have and always will like Chipotle. I usually order the Vegetarian burrito/bowl, which includes a fair amount of guacamole. Today I decided to order the soft tacos, since I know a burrito is way too much to handle during a work lunch. This was a bad misconception because those three little tacos are the equivalent to the huge burrito. FYI: It's actually a lot messier to handle the three tacos than one burrito.

I come here a LOT. At least twice a week. So today I strolled in at 1pm and the line was wrapped all the way around the place, really unusual for 1pm. After a minute in line, a cashier walked up to me with an order clipboard and said, "We see you come here a lot, so we will take your order and make it in the back." That was SOOOO awesome of them! 5 stars for great customer service, thanks Chipotle!

I'm not knocking the place , I'm knocking the way they serve your food- all hella sloppy, where it leaks on on to your car seat you may have just detailed and they didn't have the courtesy to close the lid right. They are stingy on the meat and the guac. Boo! I'd pass on this and go to another Chipotle or eat else where.

  • Cherie A.

This is by far the WORST Chipotle I've ever been to, and believe me, I've been to pretty much all of the locations in the area. The service was awful, the barbacoa was so incredibly salty, and the place was a mess. The only redeeming quality is that their hot sauce really packed a punch. One star for the hot sauce.

Love Chipotle in general and this location is great. Really enjoying the addition of brown rice as an option!

Chipotle = Mass market Taqueria for white people LOL Not as flavorful or as cheap as most taquerias, but consistent. I give them that, their fast, (faster if you order online and pick up) and the bathrooms are newish, modern and clean. That's saying something. I'm into flavorful and not spicy, so the carnitas i like more than the beef or chicken. There's no option for just chopped tomatoes instead of salsa. I know that's a weird request, but would help my stomach. lol Portion sizes are pretty big - sometimes the burrito bowl is cool if I want to avoid the carbs. The location is real convenient for a quick stopover and there is seating outside as well. The A/C works pretty well for a hot day like this.

  • Jonathan H.

Not a fan. Food is average. More importantly for me, the process of ordering is so frantic that you are not sure if you said the right thing or if they understood what you asked. I tried asking some basic questions at the end at the cashier/checkout - mistake - all I got were frantic shouts back on the answers and a 'please step aside' vibe from the lady. Not going back there. Just not worth it.

    (1)
  • Christina Z.

I had always gotten the burrito but this place makes me want to come back for the burrito bowls. They are very tasty! This location is a lot busier (during lunch) than the others I've been to around this area.

  • Mick R.

As with Wahoos, living in California should mean that not a single soul should show up to eat here. Roach coach trucks make much better burritos at half the price. White rice crap. Bland. Salsas suck. Chipotle is owned by McDonald's Mega-Corp and they are using the cheapest genetically modified clear cut the rain forest garbage ingredients they can find, along with boring recipes and they manage to make a burrito take 20 minutes at lunch rush. Taco truck guys can handle a 20 deep queue and get me a burro in 10 mins. I really don't get chain-trash like this, and if you like this you should stop and think about how little you try. This is barely a rung above Taco Bell. Barely.

I absolutely LOVE this place. I don't eat here often, but every now and then (or when I'm sick of Subway), I'll venture over to Chipotle for lunch. Today I ordered a chicken burrito with guacamole, chips and guac (yes, I love guacamole), and a diet coke. Meal came to $12... so it's not super-cheap, but you get a TON of food. Seriously, I ate more this afternoon than any human should in one sitting. But it's so good, I just couldn't stop. Their tortilla chips are salted just enough to be perfect, and their guacamole is amazing. The staff is always nice, and the restaurant (and bathrooms) is clean. There is always a lunch rush, but the line moved pretty quickly today.

    (4)
  • Courtney H.

Very crappy service!!! I only have 40 minutes for lunch, so I pre-ordered my food, figuring that it would be a quick in and out.... not even. I got the email saying that my order would be ready at 11AM. Not only did they not open the doors until AFTER 11, my food, and my friend's food wasn't even ready (there were about 5 employees inside, if not more). Already we're down 20 minutes of our lunch! Our food was still being made while people that had just walked in behind us (we were first in line), got their food, and also, my friend's order was messed up. Don't ever go there if you're in a hurry.

I'm really sorry but I cannot take authentic Mexican food. Not that it's not good. It's just too spicy and heavy for me. I get heart burn every time and so I choose not to eat Mexican food that often. And for these same reasons, I go to Chipotle. I go to Chipotle when I want their burrito bowl and their burrito bowl only.... Call me ignorant but I don't care how unauthentic it is or even where it came from... All I know is, Chipotle burrito bowl is hella good. (ps. I do not care for their tacos or their regular burritos either.. but who cares.. maybe those are more authentic) Their chips are good too but the burrito bowl is large enough to keep you full for the entire day already so it's wise to not add the chips.... I particularly like going to Chipotle Mountain View more than other Chipotles because they are generous!!! If you ask for half chicken half carnitas, they'll just give you full portions for each. If you ask for guacamole they give you 2 huge scoops and covers everything underneath. and if you add lettuce and cheese to that, you might not even have to pay for the additional guacamole because the cashier lady won't be able to see it ;) They pile everything on like it's your last meal or something. Recently though, this stingy cashier lady starts yelling at the server for giving us too much food... boo hoo to you mean cashier lady!! Another thing about Chipotle Mountain View: they tend to run out of ingredients quickly. Instead of having a second batch ready, they don't seem to have any back up prepared so when they run out, you just have to wait 15-20 minutes. I have been asked to wait on 2 occasions already, which I did wait patiently because I really wanted my food with everything I wanted. But sometimes I see some people storming out in fury like they have mad cow disease or something. Come on people, sometimes you gotta wait for the good stuff. Delay of gratification--haven't you heard of that?--my mother trained me well, didn't she... Recently Chipotle sent out free burrito coupons in the mail too. My friend literally went through the trash to find 7 more that people threw away so he could have free burritos for the entire week. well, these things are not cheap, you know. With soda, it never comes lower than $8 for me. With the free coupon, though, you can have steak and add guacamole(whcih, btw, is yummy!!) too.. that's like $10!! Now, I wish I had joined my friend in his digging through those garbage cans... Oh and the burrito bowl is gluten free too.

I think Chipotle is good... but I have to really be in the mood for this type of food to eat here. The chicken is really tasty. I hate the cilantro rice (but I hate cilantro). You can ask for plain white rice instead of the cilantro rice. I had the fajita burrito. It was the size of my head. I had to take it apart and eat it like fried rice because it was impossible to eat. I felt like I was making out with a tortilla. Next time I'll try to tacos.

    (3)
  • Jeff D.

I got a chicken guac burrito here, and it was infused with water. No, really. It was disgustingly wet all the way through, and at the bottom there was a pool of salty water that tasted a bit like the rest of the burrito. You can get better burritos at other Chipotle locations.

    (2)
  • Andrew S.

This location is always packed (probably because their food is good)! I like their tacos the best (carnitas style). The chips though were a bit over-salted. Another gripe I had was the tables not being wiped off regularly after each use. With the crowd and long lines I guess it was just too busy to clean the dining area. Filth aside, it's a pretty good place to grab a fresh taco, burrito or bowl.

Like most folks, I used to have an unhealthy obsession with Chipotle during college. That time has come and gone. Now Chipotle is a good choice for a meal, but not something I get often. One of the draws here is that you see your food getting assembled. I guess there is a certain amount of joy that is felt as you see spoonfuls of lime and cilantro rice being scooped into your bowl or a hunk of meat dropped onto that rice. When it all comes together it is admit-tingly a very tasty meal, but one that will be chock full of calories. Tip: You can order a bowl or burrito with just meat and rice that costs wayyy less than a regular burrito or burrito bol ~ $3.00

Weird reviewing what is in effect an extremely efficient, better-than-average fast-food joint. Let's face it, Chipotle has revived the McDonald's model, ejected the spurious "meat-quality" problem and the crap factor, and produced Logan's Run style Orwellian comfort food for people who apparently are too hurried to sit still for more than twelve minutes while they enjoy (and properly pre-digest) a meal. Yes, it's tasty. As I ate my carnitas burrito with black beans and many fixins I can't remember, I was eminently aware of the fact that it tasted better than the last 20 burritos I've eaten in San Francisco (because most of the burritos I've had in San Francisco have sucked, it's taken me almost 10 years to have 20 of them). Would I eat at Chipotle again? Yes. Would I rush out-of-towners to it if they asked for exemplary Mexican? No. Major negative: assembly-line spartan atmosphere. I'd rather eat in my car. Major positive: their custom brand of Tobasco, which is smoky and addictive like crack. Food tastes fresh, meat is moist.

This is my favorite location by far. Easy to get to and out from as far as parking is concerned. They move their ordering lines in an organized manner.; easy menu, quick check out. Lines can be long but it move quickly. Everything is organic. Food is tasty. I love it here.

What's not to like about a Chipotle? The food is as fresh as can be and its a quick, healthy and fulfilling meal. The mountain view location is wonderful - the staff are nice and the seating is good. Great place for a yummy meal!

I've been through probably 10 different Chipotle locations over the past 8 years of my life - having devoured hundreds of grotesque, gargantuan tin-foiled heart attacks and am still alive to tell about it. Despite all the nutritional detriments that come with eating a day's worth of food in 20 minutes, I continue to go back to Chipotle every week. One thing that reigns at Chipotle is consistency. I go here when I DON'T want the uncertainty and quality fluctuations you get when going to a mom and pop burrito joint where you know it's authentic because you're worried about how long the meat has been out! The quality of the ingredients has always been a selling point at Chipotle. Because of that, I would recommend any burrito novice come here to really get your foot into the door with the wonderful world of burritos. What to get: Most people walk into Chipotle and see the very uninspired menu. Burritos and some tacos - that's it? No! Chipotle has a lot more flexibility in what they can make for you than most people know. You probably won't find any sopes or tortas here, but you can order off-the-menu items such a quesadilla if you want.; however, I'd really stick to the burrito. Having tried all the meats, none really stick out as a gotta-try-it meat so pick off your personal preference - all are pretty well-seasoned and thoroughly cooked. One trend I see at Chipotle is the advent of the burrito bowl. The ladies seem to love it as it's like eating a Mexican salad (but with burrito ingredients!). I've tried both the normal burrito and fajita bowl and love it as a quick work lunch since you don't run the risk of squirting the medium salsa onto your finely pressed shirt. Finally, I love the chips and guacamole. The chips are always semi-fresh (made that day, but not fresh out of the oil) and the guac is pretty high quality stuff. I've even gotten two orders of chips for lunch, they're quite addicting. Most people already know or have at least seen a Chipotle. I too was once above regularly eating burritos; however, it was really Chipotle that got me into them and now I can't go a week without one! Just make sure you plan a good 3 mile afterward to burn off some of the calories.

I really really like this Chipotle location :) They are quick and friendly. The line out the door may seem daunting, but they get you through it painlessly! Only thing is, they are quite expensive. I love guacamole on my burritos... but it definitely costs me! I can't walk out of there under 5 bucks like Los Charros, that's for sure!

  • Michael G.

Place is always packed during lunch hour. The lines move really fast but by doing so they sometimes mess up the order because they are not paying attention. And they are asking me what I want before I can get up to the counter. I guess if I was on the other side I would just want to get people in and out so I can't blame the service but unless I crave Chipotle I will go somewhere else that doesn't give me a headache.

This Chipotle is part of the new Charleston Plaza, new of course meaning about a half-year old. Anyway, I actually like this Chipotle. The food isn't drastically over-priced and the portions are huge. I usually get the chicken fajita bol with guacamole. They charge an extra $1.25 for that, but I usually can sweet-talk them into giving me just a little and not charging me for it. :-) Inline with the other reviews, the queue here can get extremely long, but don't let that fool you. They are machines at working that line, quick and efficient! The bathrooms were clean (big plus in my book)! The sinks were reminiscent of feeder troughs, but that's alright. If you're looking for faux Mexican food for a reasonable price and are really hungry, this is the place to go. Besides, what's better than having some good food followed by a coffee from Starbucks just right next door?

This location is a hit or miss sometimes. The guacamole can either be good or bad depending on the day. A good alternative for a "American Burrito" if I'm not feeling my local taqueria.

its the little things in life that make me happy. Butterflies. Morning Dew. Perfectly made white mocha's. Puppies. Rainbows, and Chipotle's 4 crispy tacos with barbacoa, corn and spicy salsa, crema, lettuce, cheese and guacamole (yes i know its a $1.40 extra, please put it on anyway) I love going here because even if you are in a "rush" you can still get in an out with a long line to the door. I swear those employees back there are taco making machines sent back through time to produce me a bomb ass taco. I also love how they make sure that I get salsa, guac and sour cream in each taco (unlike some of the other chipotles ive been to) and its not just dupmed in the middle taco, or on the sides. But i think the icing on the cake about this particular chipotle is the people. where else can you grab a fantastic lunch and then have the chance to stare at a patio stacked full of hot Google and Microsoft nerds PLUS the firemend/policemen and the moffet field army and military guys?! I love Chipotle. The manager from this location used to be the manager from Foster City several years back, and still remembers me when I come in. I come here 1-3 times a week and I am never disappointed. Usually get the Chicken Burrito Bol w/ black beans, medium salsa, sour cream and cheese.

Ok, not only does this Chipotle have the great Chipotle food, it has the fastest lunch line I have ever seen. I went there 2 days ago, and the line was almost out the door. Since I was really hungry, I almost went somewhere else. I was out of there in 10 minutes with the large Chipotle portions I was always used to. The staff was super busy, but nice and fast. The only reason they get 5 stars here is because there are not six stars!

Is it Mexican? Maybe. Is it good? Yes. It took me reading an article about the restaurant in a Delta magazine to convince me to try it out, and I am glad I finally got around to it. The food is very good. It's a completely different take on a burrito, and I liked it. I got a fajita chicken burrito, which is your standard burrito, but replace the beans with peppers and onions. This is great when you want something a bit more green. Add in lettuce for more texture and lightness. It was extremely tasty and different. All ingredients are good, though the rice is a bit oily. I enjoyed it. A slightly smaller burrito than the standard (La Bamba), but at a reduced cost, as well. I'm definitely going back soon.

Always busy, no matter when you go. The parking lot also leaves much to be desired- it is really hard to get in and out. Staff is efficient and friendly enough. The good thing about Chipotle is that you can make your food as healthy as you want it. The meat is always fresh at this location and tastes great. The guacamole is fresh, but always has avocado peel in it. Chips are good and have lime on them. My favorite thing is the corn salsa- best I have had. I agree with another reviwer in that staff are not consistent- one person will give you a bunch of meat while another may not put any in one of your tacos. Maybe training needs to be better, or it could be a function of how busy and rushed they are.

So after living in the Mission in SF for about 2 years, I read my review and laughed at myself. 4 stars to Chipotle for Mexican! okay, their foods pretty good if you're on a road trip and your next best option is a McDonald's or another fast food. But when you have the likes of La Taqueria and Papalotes around you, why would you want to go to Chipotle?

First of all, people need to accept that this is a restaurant founded in DENVER, COLORADO. Of course, it's not "authentic Mexican". If you're looking for that, drive down the street. It is what it is - an American creation. But it's an American creation that nailed what they serve. Everything is fresh - usually hot off the grill (if you time it right). The salsa, guac, pico, et al are made daily. The burritos are huge - I sometimes can't finish them. The salads are also terrific - I'm pretty sure my gf likes the salad dressing more than me. I'm still looking into that. The chips are also amazing - yes...the chips. They season them with lime and sea salt...holy crap. Dip them in the fresh guac and it's orgasmic. And I'll repeat...don't expect Mexico City style food here. It's Mexican/American. So it's going to have a more mild, refined taste to it. Just enjoy it, for crying out loud. Don't be so freaking critical of their intentions. I take away one star for Chipotle selling the company to McDonald's. Bastards. I'm waiting to come in one day and they've changed the menu to: #1, Burrito with side of chips and drink; #2, Bowl with side of chips and drink; #3, Salad with Diet Coke...etc...watch, it'll happen.

I love authentic Mexican food, especially those road-side cafe that you can only see Non-white people eating inside. But I always found it too heavy for lunch time. Chipotle might not be authentic, and some people probably will not even call it Mexican food. But I love it. I love their corn salsa. I always order the vegetarian burrito here, and it's always good. I have burrito or bowel from this place at least once a week, and I have no doubt I will continue.

inexpensive, filling and tasty. Ordering for you and a friend is rather difficult - so if you're ordering more than 1 burrito you might want to do it online or via fax. their steak is kinda on the rare side to the point that I won't order it. it's often too fatty as well. but the chicken is surprisingly good.

  • Tricia B.

Ok, so you don't come here expecting authentic Mexican food. However, you do come here expecting Americanized fast-food Mexican, and boy does Chipotle do a good job with that. I got a Burrito Bol (no tortilla - damn those carbs!) with chicken, black beans, hot salsa and the works.....and it was yummy! The food tasted fresh, and I think there were about .001 seconds between when I entered the door and when I was sitting down with my meal - lightning fast service! It's definitely good for when you want something different from the traditional taquerias around here.

  • Jeff H.

I usually get the chicken taco's here. It's your typical fast food place just like mickey D and taco hell. It's good in a pinch if you're in a hurry and you need something to get you by for the next few hours. The tortilla chips are a little salty though, so I try not to eat them.

  • Mrs R.

I am nuts about this place. The food tastes really fresh and the service is good. I always get the crispy tacos with barbacoa beef. Good salsas. I like their business practices too.

  • Melinda K.

I love this place. Like other reviewers, I would eat here every day if it wasn't for the calories. I need to drag myself away from the door every time I go near the place! I must say there are other times where I feel like a more authentic burrito experience and there are plenty of places around that fill that role. I wouldn't come here looking for authenticity. The corn chips have this zesty salty seasoning that goes perfectly with the guacamole. The burritos have either beans or a pepper mix. The tacos are great to share if you just want a light meal/big snack. It isn't the cheapest burrito 'round here, but it isn't going to send you broke either!!! Check it out!!!

I really don't get what there is to love about this place. I went here yesterday, and it was the last time I'll probably go again. I ordered a fajita burrito with chicken and the spicy sauce. It was disgusting. The chicken was flavorless, the rice was chock full of cilantro (aka the joke spice: It looks like parsley or tarragon, but it tastes like poison ivy and pine needles.), and the peppers and onions were "cooked" in the sense that they had sat in warm oil. It was $6 for a burrito, which, in my opinion, is absurdly overpriced. You can go to Baja Fresh and for the same price get a full meal. The environment here is lame as well. Why would I want to eat Mexican food in the environment of a steel factory look? I love seeing restaurants like Baja Fresh and Panera Bread produce food that fills that niche of great quality with quick availability without being too overpriced. Chipotle tries at this, but falls far short. We can only hope it goes out of business soon and is replaced by something more useful...like a tire store or an abandoned building. Or better yet, get a Panera in there so we can finally have one in the peninsula. One star for having "food" and another star for having decent beer.

I lovvve Chipotle, I love the veggie bowl / burrito and I'm very specific about the combination of items in my dish and their proportions. And this Mountain View Chipotle grill is the best in the bay area that does justice to my requirements. Their place is quite big, and they get a lot of crowd every day. Its located in a nice area, which is busy all the time. People watching can be a good time pass activity if you are eating alone. I've been going there for more than a year now for lunch, at least once every 1 week - 10 days. I've never been rushed no matter how long the line is, and lots of times I've asked them to add extra rice/ hot sauce/ corn to my bowl. It seems the veggie bowl comes with a free cup of guac, I was once charged an extra dollar for it. The next time when I asked them about it, they apologized and gave me a free bowl. I've been to other Chipotle joints at Sunnyvale, San Jose, Milpitas, Fremont, Redwood City and Foster City and this one provides the best service.

Rationale: -Very miserly with the meat portions -Not flexible with customer service Go to one of the many nearby taquerias instead! I imagine the line servers must be instructed to be thrifty with the more expensive ingredients, and pack in the less expensive ones (rice, beans). If you're someone like me who eats mostly meat and veggies and avoids rice, you're out of luck. If you ask the server to add a little more meat since you're not getting rice, they'll say yes but stick to the tiny portion of meat. This is understandable since meat is expensive. But, if you ask them to add a little more vegetables since you're not getting rice, they'll do the same thing. And then I end up with a mini-burrito. At least fill my burrito up with vegetables! I usually leave hungry, annoyed at the customer service, and wishing I'd gone to one of the many nearby taquerias.

Yo gotsta getcha one of these burritos, Mister Swami. No, seriously, I love the Chipotle taste, the animal rights and organic ingredients used for the meat, beans, tomatoes and avocados. When I am really hungry I will eat the whole thing, go into a food coma for a couple of hours, and be really happy. If I am being thrifty I will eat half now and half for my next meal. Stretching my money a bit.

Love this place. We do it every week. The burrito bowl is awesome. I saw this movie where the owner of Chipotle talks about how they source their ingredients. It is all local, and organic where possible. They don't do GMO corn. Their meat is free of hormones and toxins. That alone is the biggest draw - we have no qualms about regularly feeding our kids at Chipotle. In addition to great quality of food, the price is ultra reasonable for the quantity served. I am buying the Chipotle stock. It has already surged 20% in the last 3 months. Finally the new wave of healthy food is catching on.....Thank you!

  • Michael R.

3+ Yes, I know it's owned by evil McDonald's. But if you believe their propaganda they only slaughter happy cows and organic chickens. (I wonder how they treat their employees.) I like that Liz points out a burrito with the usual has 1500 calories. But really, who's kidding whom? Everyone knows sour cream and guac isn't what the runway models are eating. But here's the hot tip: order the salad. I get the chicken with romaine lettuce, just a little black beans, a scoop of rice, one spoon of the red salsa with chopped tomatoes, and one scoop of the brown 'medium' salsa, and just a sprinkle of cheese. They give you a vinegarette, but its way too much of considering the salsa serves as my dressing. Aside from the cheese, I'm praying this is a healthy meal. I wash it down with water with a lemon in it. I'm hoping McDonalds can stand up and be a good corporate citizen. I hope they really do use chickens running on grass. But I'm dubious. That Ronald, he's evil. He preys on kids. So, should I continue to eat here? Or are they as bad as their parent? What do you think? (P.S. They really don't have corkage or valet. But I couldn't resist checking the boxes.)

Have you ever used Chipotle online order system. It's freakin' awesome! You can place your order and/or your payment along with giving special instructions (light on the cheese, extra guac, etc). Then you show up at Chipotle at the time that you requested and you get to cut the line and pick up your order! Chipotle was an A+ in my book already but the whole online order system made it an A++

  • Emy B.

This is my hubby favorite fast burrito place. He gets the fajita steak and i the vegetarian burrito. We love the roast corn with jalapeno salsa. Great place to go for a quick bite. The only down side is chips from any chipotle are always too salty. Oh not a calorie friend place either... but its good.

I've been eating at Chipotle for years, and I can say that in 90% of the time, it has not failed me. My co-workers and I come to this Chipotle at least once a week to indulge in this pseudo Mexican fast food. I always get the burrito bol with the cilantro rice, chicken, lettuce, and tomato salsa. I know, it sounds boring, but it's one of the lower calorie/fat options here (that's not why I chose this combination though, I love the taste; the lower fat/calorie count was a coincidence). The line always moves fast, no matter how long it is when we get there (it's usually out the door, or at the door). There's plenty of seating, whether indoor or out, even when it seems like there are too many people and too few seats. The service isn't especially friendly, but the store manager once gave me a fax sheet for 10 free burritos on a whim (why, I don't know). I give this place four stars instead of five because they keep touting their fax ordering service, and also that you can order online, but when my coworkers and I tried to do that, we had some difficulty. First, you place your order online. Within 15 minutes, you have to call the store to confirm your order. So, we did that. On the phone they said ok, great, everything will be ready when you come. When we get there, they have no record of our order, and they say their fax machine is broken. If it was broken, why did they a) not tell us when we were on the phone with them and b) act like everything was ready for us? It was dumb to order for a large team, then get there, and have to wait for them to re-take our order and make it. Not convenient at all, if you ask me. Other than that, I love this place, and will continue to keep coming here for cheap, junky eats.

2.5 stars... ... It's good for a quick lunch run. But the meat (beef, chicken, barbacoa, all of it) has gotten mighty salty! -fast turnaround -easy lunch place -decent food -satly meat!

The parking lot is a little difficult to deal with, just be patient. My favorite item on the menu is a chicken burrito with the spicy sauce, with everything including sour cream and lettuce. Don't be concerned about how long the line is because it moves really fast. During the warm weather, you should sit outside. After lunch, go hang out at REI or Bed, Bath and Beyond since you worked so hard to finally find a parking spot.

Chipotle is an interesting fast food offering that has quickly become very popular. I remember eating there a few years ago and thinking it had the chance to become popular and it has (at least in the Bay Area). What is best about Chipotle outside of the food is that it's simple. They give you three offerings. You can choose a burrito, tacos, or a bowl. All the meats are the same and all the extras are the same. They build your selection right in front of you and the service is quick. I think the bowl offering is great for those who don't want the tortilla in their diet. The bowl consists of rice and beans (I always ask for light rice because they'll pile it on if you don't) and meat, salsa, cheese, sour cream, guacamole (it's extra), and lettuce. I get a lot of lettuce in mine. The meats are really good, though I usually get the barbacoa, which is a flavorful shredded beef. They have chicken, steak, carnitas, and vegetarian offerings as well. The place is always busy and it seems like a happening fast food option.

loooove the burrito bowl. my usual consist of their yummy seasoned rice, 1/2 chicken, 1/2 steak, lettuce and corn salsa. fresh food, relatively healthy, yet filling. of all the chipotle's i've been to, this location has the best customer service!

    (5)
  • Karen N.

i don't like how chipotle is always advertising that they're super healthy because their burritos are almost a whole day's worth of calories for me. that aside, they are damn tasty. i can only eat half a burrito bowl in one sitting so it's a great deal. the claims about freshness seems to ring true so no complaints there.

5 pounds of burrito for 5 bucks. Seriously, these things are huge. I get the vegetarian burrito, which comes with guacamole. My veggie burrito with black beans, sour cream, and guacamole is a seriously cheap and tasty 1200 calories. Not authentic Mexican food at all, but delicious. And light. Like I can eat their burritos and not feel greased out or weighed down. They also serve meat burritos, and I think all of their meat is happy meat. Their carnitas are supposed to be pretty good. Their salsas are also good -- I like their spicy salsa and corn salsa, and they're generous with the stuff.

100% chipotle lover for life! i don't care much for the burritos, to be honest (i'd rather get one at la costena), but it doesn't matter because i never order burritos here. the only thing i ever get are the soft-shelled tacos. one order comes with three. my choice of fillings: carnitas or steak (anything, really, the meat here is scrumptious), cheese, lettuce, mild salsa (because i like the tomato and onion chunks), and sometimes guacomole. and voila! there you have it! the perfect meal at chipotle, and it's not even that unhealthy.

Now that El Burrito Real is closed, I find myself eating here 2-3 times a week. Is Chipotle fast food? They say they've divested themselves from McDonalds's but I think the consistent mid-urban decor and middle-high quality food, from store to store, pretty much makes it so. I don't necessarily cringe from the fast food label or the Mark of McDonalds's Beast, but I guess I would prefer to give more business to local places if they could deliver as reliably as a franchise. But IMO La Costena is nothing special food-wise, very inconvenient to visit, and has not really won a special place in my heart. The chicken breast is best when grilled to a slight char but juicy beneath - and they get this right 99% of the time... I walk home with a good dinner for $5.37, it just makes life a lot simpler. Shrug.

I'm not a very picky eater, but never a big fan of fast food places in general. So I was wary the first time I tried Chipotle when I learned that it was owned by McDonald's. The difference in quality of food is night and day though! I probably frequent Chipotle at least once a week, if not more. My go-to meal is either carnitas crispy tacos or carnitas burrito bol. The carnitas, while not very authentic, is delicious and juicy, and makes for an enjoyable meal. I also recommend the steak for the burrito bols, if you're looking for a little more kick to the meat. I'm not too big on spicy food, but the salsas are terrific and freshly made. Same with the guacamole, which is definitely worth the $1.40 extra. The best word to define the food at Chipotle is FRESHNESS. Everything is made fresh throughout the day and the quality is consistently good every time I go. The staff at the Charleston location are friendly and speedy. I've gone for lunch when the line is out the door, but I still have my food in less than 5 minutes. That's fast food service without the notorious fast food (lack of) quality. I've also found ordering online to be extremely useful, as you can pretty much jump to the front of the line and pick up your order. If you're really crunched for time or don't like waiting in lines, but find yourself craving a burrito or tacos, take two minutes to fill out an order online then just drop in for the pickup.

I'm Mexican and this food is no where near "authentic" like they claim it is. It's perfect for someone who wants to take that extra step from Taco Bell into the Mexican world of cooking (it's more tex mex than anything). I always feel like the food has been sitting out FOREVER. The meat is never fully warm. It's like lukewarm. That's freakin gross in my book. As for the guac, no they didnt lol. I had it out for literally 30min (i bought extra since they skimp when you order it on your burrito) and it turned dark brown! how long did it sit there?... But the BIGGEST reason I dont like this place is the service. Is it just me or when you are at the register does it feel like they are trying to push you the hell outta there? They give me the price, I give them my card, and before I even get my card back they are giving the person next to me their total and asking for their money. I know its busy but its down right rude! I always have to rush to put my card back in my purse and move on. It even happens with cash. Point? You want real mexican travel down the street to La Costena or La Bamba. They are cheaper and waaaaay better

In a pinch and you need a burrito with not a lot of choices this is the place for you. The menu is simply laid out, it's over head you can't miss it really. But what is the deal with running out of pollo?!? Fast food burritto and they run out of chicken? Good solid burrito, sloppily prepared but the foil held everything together. For the price I would go to the many other choices around there. This is only a last resort.

Cheap, average wanna-be Mexican food. It gets three instead of two stars for the ingredients looking fresh, and the carnitas having a decent taste. The counter staff are friendly and they have outdoor seating. I know this a chain, and while it's OK, I'm not sure what the huge appeal is. BTW, even though it i not printed on the menu, they will make quesadillas.

  • Sabrina S.

Chipotle, I sing your praises. What, you're owned by McDonald's? You're a sad excuse for Mexican food? You're a haven for white people who don't know any better? That's all fine with me. As they say, love is blind (and deaf and dumb). BUT love has tastebuds, my friend. At least...my version does. And my tastebuds start dancing when I bite into a delicious chicken burrito or soft taco with extra hot salsa and guacamole. I adore Mexican food, and I adore Chipotle. Call me an amateur or tacky; point out that I'm originally from the Midwest and therefore should not be allowed to partake in culinary debates; mock my lack of Hispanic roots; but whatever you do, don't you dare take that burrito out of my hand. Amen.

Bring your student ID and get a free drink!! I do not like the fact that this place is owned by McDonald's, but what can you do? Their burritos are good, the guacamole is really fresh, I like the black beans and I like the red salsa. I do not like the white rice, so I usually get a burrito without rice. The tacos are tasty and are made with really fresh meat. My only complaint: you do not get chips with your order, and the chips that you can buy are not very good and sometimes stale.

  • Ernest A.

My favorite Chipotle location. Plenty of seating, friendly staff, and they don't skimp on the ingredients when loading up your burrito. Bonus that they know how to roll a burrito so that it doesn't fall apart after your first bite.

Very good Burritos, i am hooked with the Burritos with pinto beans, burrito bowls are very good to, the flavor among all other chipotles are similar so it doeans t matter what chiplotle you eat it should taste the same.soft and crispy tacos also very good. I would say that Guacamole is a bit pricy. everything else is fine.

A friend and I went here on Monday for some fast Taqueria food; I'd been to Chipotle in Sunnyvale so I was eagerly looking forward to a good lunch. Both his burrito (vegetarian) and my "bol" (pork and chicken) were WAAAAAAY over-salted. It's like someone went ape-sh** on the salt shaker. Mind you, I enjoy a good salt bagel, plain even. But this was overwhelming and almost inedible. And, to boot, I believe I got e-coli food poisoning from the food. Let's just say my evening was un-fun. I don't know what's going on at this franchise location, but you'd be best to go "local" down the street.

    (1)
  • Andrew Y.

I hate supporting big franchised chains, but I give it up for Chipotle. One burrito here can probably fill you up for lunch, part of a dinner, and your pooch. In other words, HUGE portions. The stuff here is always fresh, and fresh made as well.

    (4)
  • David O.

Yes it's a chain. Yes it's taken a street food and dolled it up for mass market appeal. But let's be honest. It's damn good. High quality meat (my favorite's the steak) that you just don't get at a lower end taqueriea. So turn up your nose at the suburban strip mall appeal if that makes you feel superior. Or you can actually eat their food and appreciate how good it is.

    (5)
  • Rhoda A.

Maybe 3 1/2 stars... Not exactly your authentic burrito, but I like to think of it as a diversion from the real thing. Or even better: I come here to give my tastes buds a rest so that I don't get tired of La Bamba. The portions are plentiful, and I can never finish my burrito. My favorite is the Barbacoa. Spicy! The assembly-line service is fast. So fast, sometimes, that I think they're going to mix up my order with the person's behind me.

  • Carolyn G.

The first few times were great, until I realized (a) how expensive this was, (b) the enormous portion sizes, and (c) incredibly salty food. I found a website that gave nutrition facts, and a carnitas bol was at 2400 mg -- when your daily allowance should be 1500! No wonder I was so thirsty, and over-full. I'm not good with spicy foods, so the chicken was a bit much. Soft tacos and salads are OK, but probably not worth the $6-8 you'll wind up spending for lunch. Some of us will buy a burrito or tacos and split at work. That seems a bit more palatable, so if you're with a friend, this isn't a bad place to go. But I agree -- if you want real Mexican food, head to that amazing burrito place at Rengstorff and Old Middlefield instead.

    (1)
  • Sean G.

I've been going to this location for around two years now. Is it the best Mexican food around? No. But that doesn't mean it's not good. I get great service and large portions consistently, probably because I go with my 3-year old at least once or twice a week. He loves the rice. The staff is really nice, especially if you're nice to them. If you want consistently hot (temperature) burritos, don't get meat that's in an almost empty bin. Whatever's fullest, that's hottest. As others have said, they make cheese quesadillas (with whatever meat you want too) though they're not listed on the menu. For the haters that complain about them being owned by McDonald's, check your facts. McDonald's sold off their controlling interest in October of 2006!

A ginormous burrito .. with guacamole and steak . Good but way to big to consumer even if famished. This yuppied out chain establishment but Baja Fresh and La Salsa to shame with it's simplicity and appearance . Very fancy and great for the Peninsula's binger elite. I love the totrtillas for the burritos and the fact that they are super mild and a little bland is great for someone who wants all the glory of a burrito without the indigestion. I go there when I'm at the little shopping center because they are super fast and pretty cheap .

  • Chris H.

If you have an alternative you probably shouldn't do this. It isn't the very worst 'mexican' food in the world, but even as chains go it is probably the least of them. We used them to cater a company lunch, probably 50 burritos. They were universally bad. The vast majority of the filling was rice, not even many beans, virtually no chicken, just enough to be sure it wasn't the vegie one. On top of all that they were cold, But then Chipotle burritos typically start out cool even if you eat them there. They did provide a huge amount of sour cream and a small amount of salsa which might have made a difference if I'd used enough. Stiffing corporate customers is an interesting choice, I guess they have no respect for people who spend triple figure amounts with them. I don't represent the company, so that's why I'm not naming names.

I love this place. Overall Healthy, consisently delicious, fresh Mexican. I love to mix the hot salsa w/ the roasted chile corn salsa. Oh man everyone in my family loves this place. It is our once weekly dinner take-out routine. Forget coming at noon on a weekday, unless you go online and order ahead!!!

Hrm... Where was the last time I had Chipotle? Back in Naperville, years ago? Probably. Anyhow, some friends and I stopped by on our way up to the resident retreat in Tahoe. The barbacoa fajita burrito was good and quite filling. The barbacoa pork was nicely shredded and had just a touch of heat (would've been even better with more heat) and nicely complimented the crisp crunch of the bell peppers. Still, it's not very often that I crave this kind of (Tex-)Mex food, so odds are you won't find me here.

I love love love this place. It's right next to work and I just love it's taste. It's fresh and favorable. Not only is the food GOOD and I do mean good the service is fast. The staff are always nice. The ingredients are always fresh and the proportions are huge for the price. I can't say how much I love this place. It's happy food! At least once a week I hit up this place and by the end of my meal I'm smiling and satisfied. Highly recommended.

I had hear enough good things about this place to finally try it out. Plus I heard that McD's is selling its ownership in it. Plus I needed a place to work for a little while, and this was the first place I saw. I am sitting in it right now, finishing my veggie burrito as I type. What a disappointment. I had low expectations (cross between Baja Fresh and High Tech Burrito) to begin with, but it still doesn't meet them. Let's start with the tortilla. A lot of taquerias offer a whole wheat one, and all fancier burrito places do, but not here. That would be no big deal if the tortilla was good. I have never had a bad tortilla experience. Until now. It is crewy and dry. Then there is the rice. This rice is whiter than white, and greasy. What is with that? It doesn't even taste good. It is what I expect Uncle Ben's covered in margarine to taste like, not that I've had that. The beans, sour cream, lettuce, and salsa are fine, I guess, but overall it just has an off flavor. The restaurant is clean, but ugly. The music is bad. I can't believe that people in the bay area, where we have so many great burrito options, would eat here.

Very overrated... This place is "OK." It's certainly better than your typical "Una Mas" chain but nowhere NEAR as good as nearby La Costena. Chipotle is a fad and will be outdone before too long. Their quality is pretty good. But they give few choices. I make MUCH better food myself. But, most importantly, their prices are really high for what you get. If you don't mind paying more than you should for so-so food with fast-food level of service by the staff, then this place may be for you. But if you want real quality at a reasonable price, don't waste your time.

I found out you're not as "healthy" as I thought you were, and sometimes I feel guilty eating here when I can be eating at one of the many "real" tacquerias in the area, but you make my boyfriend happy, so you make me happy.

Same as their branch in Sunnyvale only with the added benefit that there's more parking here. Still love their burritos!!! P.S.: They also have a pretty good selection for bottled beer!

Great food, but you'll be rushed through the line. Like the DMV on crack. Don't come here for a quiet lunch.

If I'm in the mood for "real" Mexican food, there are plenty of choices in the area that offer a more authentic menu, but for a good, quick meal Chipotle isn't too bad. I usually opt for the bowls, which are supposedly like a burrito without the tortilla, but I think they put more lettuce in the bowl so it's almost like a salad. I've been to the Mtn. View location twice and both times the female staff was super super nice, so much so that I wondered if the cashier was hitting on me. ;-)

Chipotle is the best thing to ever happen to me. The best thing to order is: Burrito with chicken, black beans, NO rice, HOT sauce, and lettuce. It's seriously amazing. I go there at least once a week... I'm totally addicted.

Love it, love it, love it!! The spicier the better! Oh yeah!!! I love the Tomatillo-Red Chili salsa here. They really should bottle and sell it. My husband, a big fan of being able to control distribution, loves to the ability to project manage the building of his own burrito. The kids love that they can get a heaping helping of chicken and rice here --- Mom and Dad love that it's all at a reasonable price. Everybody's happy! Maybe they should call it Win-Win? Nah, that sort of takes the spice out of the place, we can't have that!!

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants until this evening. Food was fresh as always, however, the restaurant had trash accumulated on the floor and they were short staffed to even clean the table surfaces. Once we finished eating and we were ready to start cleaning after ourselves, an employee blamed the trash on the floor on us!. We tried to reach the manager but she never left the back office to hear our complaints. Won't be going back any time soon. I'm not sure if they just had a management change.

Clean, cheap, and huge portions. This is not an "authentic" Mexican place if that's what you're looking for. However, their food is good, and sometimes, you're looking for that American twist to hit the spot!

The first time I ate at Chipotle was in Cincinnasty, Ohio. I was so happy to see a fast food Mexican place that wasn't Taco Hell, and back then, just seeing black beans, white cheese, and pico de gallo was enough to pacify me. Then I found out they were owned by McDonald's. By that time I was in the arms of the West, so I no longer had to worry about relying on chains to get fast Mexican food. Recently, I was lured back to trying Chipotle by a free burrito coupon that came in the mail, and the knowledge that McD's had sold off their interest in the chain. So, I returned. After a long day at work I was really looking forward to scarfing something down. Of course, I had the misfortune of being behind some jackass Midwestern tourists who were acting like this was a grand night out on the town. The one sophisticate of the group was telling them how you got a choice of salsas because it was authentic Mexican. I resisted the temptation to pin him down and force feed him sour cream until he exploded, mostly because he was obese and it would have taken too long. Anyway, I was looking forward to resampling the Chipotle fare. Unfortunately, it was not good. There wasn't much chicken on the burrito. The person who prepped it didn't drain enough liquid off the beans, so the burrito was a mushy mess. Overall, there was little flavor or seasoning---it tasted as bland as a Clay Aiken record. I ordered a side of chips and salsa---the chips weren't kept warm, which is their choice---but they were also stale to the point of chewiness and so oversalted that my lips burned after eating a few. In the end, I was disappointed; it's sad when you regret a meal even though it was free. There is absolutely no reason not to head a couple blocks south on Rengstorff and hit one of the many superior local Mexican joints.

I love this place. My son has food allergies to wheat, egg, all nuts, sesame - this is one of the few places we can eat out together as a family. Truly a Godsend for us! We've eaten at Chipotles in Boulder, CO, Chicago, IL, San Diego, CA, Oklahoma City, CA and our home Chippy's in Mountain View, CA!!!! It's great!

I am a fan of Chipotle. If you've been to a Chipotle, this is no more different than any other, but with one exception. The reason why I gave this place three stars is because this location is very skimpy with their portions. Unlike other Chipotles, which are usually lot more relaxed about their portion sizes, this venue seems to hand count how much they give you. I've seen their employees consistently take half-assed scoops of their items, proceed to dump a few pieces back, and then give you the rest. A lot of my peers expressed the same sentiment from this location as well. What's up with that Chipotle!? ----------------------------- My General Rating Criteria: 5 - I will go out of way to visit this location and spread the word to others. 4 - This place comes recommended and I would suggest this place when asked. 3 - Didn't have a terrible experience, but I would neither recommend nor avoid. 2 - I am not a fan and will probably never come back; I won't suggest to others if asked. 1 - AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I will tell others to shun it.

No brown rice. Was told the wait time is 20min Cold food And saw a RAT while eating out side (no inside the store and probably not Chipotle 's fault for there is many other places to eat in the same shopping center.

Terrible service! Online order was suppose to be ready at 5:45.. Went at 6:15 since they're never on time and it still wasn't ready. And they forgot salsa when it clearly states on the receipt what was ordered.

  • Shu J.

This Chipotle is different from the others, mainly due to their smaller, miserly portions! I normally get a chicken or barbacoa burrito bowl. They don't even try to fill the serving spoon with meat. About half of the serving spoon of meat is served to you. I think this is a ploy to make customers ask for double meat. Which, in turn, unfairly makes the store more money. There is no way anyone can get full from the skimpy serving. But Chipotle continues to increase prices -- avocado went from $1 to over $2 and the meat prices all went up -- while serving sizes got smaller. This location serves great, fresh, and delicious food -- but they need to stop ripping off their loyal repeat customers.

I haven't been to Chipotle for awhile so I guess I forgot how tasty it was. I got a bowl with grilled veggies, brown rice, salsa, 1/2 chicken 1/2 sofritas (seasoned tofu), lettuce, beans, and cheese. It's a pretty big portion so I had some leftovers for dinner. There was a line at around 3PM on a Sunday but it moved fairly quickly. Tables seemed a little dirty and chips were $2.50 or so but they were actually really good-tasted fresh out of the fryer and lightly salted. The green salsa it came with was good too. Lots of parking as it's located in a shopping center.

I honestly love Chipotle food but this location constantly makes me mad with the SMALLEST scoops of everything. Like, I need a microscope to see my steak. When I ask them to add more, they put two more cubes in. Does Chipotle subtract the food costs out of employee paychecks? It certainly feels like it.

If you like plastic in your food and horrible customer service, this is the Chipotle for you! I purchased a burrito bowl here. Not only was it messily made by a hostile worker and lacking key ingredients (literally the tiniest scoop of steak I've ever seen doled out at a Chipotle, which was truly no small feat since Chipotle is notorious for their baby scoops), I choked on a piece of plastic that was in my bowl. And when I say CHOKED ON PLASTIC, I mean I had to literally pull a large piece of plastic out of my throat that was embedded in my food, much to the dismay of my coworkers. This was a traumatic experience to say the least. I posted the pictures on Twitter and contacted their customer service, making it clear my goal was to make sure this didn't happen again to anyone else. They were incredibly cold and made it difficult to get anywhere with their "procedures." I refuse to return to this Chipotle establishment for fear of choking on more plastic. Given the fact that their customer service team refuses to investigate the fact that there is PLASTIC in their food at this location (with pictures and everything), I honestly don't feel safe eating at this unsanitary location.

I have NO idea what was going on here when we came through. Chipotle is usually the land of the organized. The ones who show you how it should be done. Not here. The line was really long - standard for lunch time - but we started to get suspicious when it wasn't moving at all. We thought there might be someone ordering a ton of food, but it never got any faster. When it was our turn, we saw why, haha. The amount of chaos behind the bar was something I've never seen at Chipotle (and I hate to judge them for a one-off, so I'm still giving them three stars). Burrito makers were throwing ingredients on all the wrong items, skipping over some earlier ones altogether, people were getting frustrated... it was a mess. There were also zero condiments to be found in the entire restaurant. It was evident that they had some issues going on that day, and I thought they'd at least apologize for it or acknowledge it at checkout - nada. We just paid and went on our way.

This is the WORST location I've been to, and I only go to it because it's close to work. Don't bother going after 9pm. Thirty minutes until closing and there was no chicken, no guac. This place has actually run out of "burrito sized" tortillas before. How does a burrito place run out of tortillas?!?!

I came to get 2 bowls.. Guys are doing great job comparable to the one on El Monte ave. this guys are awesome.., the store is a little dirty but the staff makes an impact on people.. Still consistently the worst chipotle around. Tiny scoops of rice, beans, & meat. The scoop of hot sauce is huge so be prepared for the burning. Lots of cheese and lettuce. This has been an issue since they opened this location.

  • Stephen N.

Usually very fast, even a long line gets through pretty quickly. Their selection sometimes is luke warm, and portions are not controlled very well. The people are nice, and they have never been rude. But I only once had a really bad experience they way over cooking one of my quesodillas to the point that the tortilla was more of a chip, and the cheese was burnt brown, also didn't have the chicken in it. They forgot to put the order together so I waited for a quesodilla that wasn't even being made. And the person who folded it should have noticed the crunching noise way before he handed it to me.

I love chipotle and go to restaurants around the Bay Area. This place does not meet the standards of other for sure! I came here a few months ago and found a hair in my burrito. I returned it and they happily made me a new one. I've been a few times since then and today I thought I would try it. I found another freaking hair in my food. Didn't even bother to return it. As other reviews have said, they don't even bother filling the spoons with the right amount. Plus the employees are rude. Don't really wanna come back unless they start using actual hair caps and not stupid hats.

The food is really good and they're fast at building you what you want. I went here during lunch hour and I actually ordered online. It was super convenient and fast! When we got there we just said we had a pick up and bam! They pulled it from the back and we were good to go. The line moved fast and everyone there was doing what they needed to do to get through this lunch rush. Will definitely return.

This is the worst Chipotle around the 15miles radius. Their chicken is not flavorful. They add too much rice and beans and less of meat and veggies.

Ordered online. Soonest my order could be ready was 90 minutes. Arrived on time and order wasn't even being prepared yet. Upon arriving I was informed that they were out of pinto beans, fajita vegetables, and green salsa, all of which I ordered. To make matters worse, customer service is non existent here. Thoroughly disappointed. Although I love Chipotle and am willing to venture into the awful parking lot here, I won't be returning to this Chipotle.

One of my favorite go to places for a quick and healthy meal. The food is consistently well prepared, even when the line is long, it moves quickly. Can't recommend it enough, even though it is part of a chain restaurant, it is one that believes in quality ingredients and empowering individual managers of each location, a philosophy I agree with, too.

Of the many Chipotle grills I have visited, this one in Mt. View is by far the worst! The people who work there are rude, classless, with loud talk and as they rush you through the line, they are impersonal and extremely condescending... I would be ashamed, as a share holder and if the powers that be get ahold of this representation of a fine company, they would be appalled and should fire everyone there and revamp to their original model of quality and personable employees. Even the quality of the food, ingredients seem to be "DIFFERENT" and not consistent with other Chipotle's I have experienced....

Quickest Chipotle I've been to. I had a small window to grab lunch in between my meetings, so I stopped by right before 12 noon. There were a couple folks in line ahead of me, but I was in and out of the restaurant in less than 3 minutes. They also tend to give more meat at this location. Tips to get the biggest bang for your buck: - Order a burrito bowl with the tortilla on the side. You get 70.7% more food if you order a burrito bowl. ( youtube.com/watch?v=Cses… ) - Order two types of meat (1/2 chicken, 1/2 steak, etc). You will only get charged for the more expensive of the two.

Burrito bowl for the win. Try it with chips on the bottom for a nacho meal. Don't forget Fajitas! Their service was super quick..I should've spoken up for extra corn and salsa. Don't feel bad about asking for extras because that's allowed except on meats and guac.

I went with my daughter and wife on this Saturday night for a quick bite. They were out of mild salsa. That was the excuse to not offer any salsa when we ordered chips. Did not follow my wife's instruction to not put corn in her taco's. I had to request a tray from the cashier to carry the meal outside seating area. Told the manager that the server was cleaning the counter with her gloves and then reusing the same gloves to serve food. Also complained that the rear counter had rice spilled all over, and it should be cleaned up. When I queried on the sloppiness of her operations, she replied that the customer volume was too high for her to manage. Without a doubt, this is my last trip to this particular Chipotle.

It's dependable for a decent lunch. This place to he is clearly a lunch location. I'm a big fan of the bowl burrito with chips especially the steak. I do like that this is a place that makes ice tea, they brew it themselves and they keep it cold. How can a guy not like Carnivore food dressed up like it's something fancy?

    (4)
  • Steven L.

Just like all the other Chipotle, they live up to their standards of making great food with fresh ingredients. The service here is pretty quick and tables were clean. Normally, I go with a barbacoa bowl. Don't forget to get the guacamole. You have to pay extra for it but its worth it. I used to get the burrito but they are just too big. The bowl is a good amount of food without feeling like you just ate a whole Thanksgiving dinner. Only negative about Chipotle is different workers will scoop different amount of ingredients. Its never the same.

I've always loved Chipotle, and this branch is no exception. Pretty spacious interior, lot of outdoor seating, friendly service, and as always amazing food quality. My go-to: Chicken burrito bowl with white rice, black beans, sautéed vegetables (you have to ask for these! But they're free, so uh just ask for them), cheese, corn, little bit of mild & lot of medium and hot salsa, guacamole, and extra hot salsa on the side For more information about the food quality, here's my review of another nearby Chipotle that sums it up pretty well: Honestly, after all of the Mexican restaurants I've tried all around California, I'd still pick Chipotle over any of them any day. I really don't understand all of the complaints people have, like: 1) Too crowded. Well that's clearly an indication that the food is good enough to merit the rush 2). They give you too much of x, y, z. Well, since they make it in front of you, you have 100% control of what goes on it, so really I blame you for any shortcoming in your meal This place rocks, their chicken is incredible, their food is typically sustainable (they often use local/organic produce, animals raised without antibiotics, etc.), and their salsas cover a wide range of flavors/spice levels. I also give them bonus points for making their beans vegetarian-friendly. My ONLY complaint about Chipotle is that their guacamole is prohibitively expensive. But that's the price you pay for quality I guess, and I'm completely okay with that. Keep doing you, Chipotle.

  • Natasha D.

This is a perfect place for me because they have truly non-spicy food. I eat either bowls or salads because I do not care for tortillas that much. The food is of consistently good quality, fresh, tasty, and versatile enough for me to eat here a couple of times. The location is very convenient to shopping - Michaels is across the street, OSH also across the street but a bit farther; REI and PetSmart are nearby. Excellent staff - smiling fresh faces. We all recognize each other by now because I am a regular. Of note: their sour cream is real. Not some sort of low fat low taste yucky stuff, but true sour cream. And, their mild salsa actually is mild, which cannot be said of many a Mexican place elsewhere.

That's it the final straw....had it with this location/company. The potion seems to be getting smaller and smaller each time I visit. This is the same business who round up to the nearest cents on change until they were call out and now skimming on the potion. They are afraid to raise their price so the cut the potion instead. If customer don't complain they will continue with this shady practice.

Okay, where to begin? Last week, we did a group order, and it delayed then and the folks behind us in line. Sorry. In which a rude comment from an employee was to place an order by fax next time. So this week? Placed the order by fax, next step is to call them for confirmation received... in which on our end, it shows us that facsimile has completed. We call, but they don't show anything. So, one by one I put in the order online with a specified time. I even left work to get it at later time so that they'd be ready. What happens? I got there and showed her my printout, the cashier yells a name and says online order. They grab the receipt printout and start the order-- well being the specified pickup time. So I wasted another 20 minutes as they prepared our meals. Please don't tell me to order fax or online when you can't keep your end up. You shouldn't be advertising what you can't promise to do in a timely manner.

Are you freaking kidding me! Half a scoop of chicken in my burrito bowl!?!?!?! Do you have to go out back and kill the chicken your self? I ordered six bowls, $50. Each one had about half a scoop in each bowl. NEVER AGAIN(this location).

1 star because my boyfriend didn't mind it (& I can't put 0 stars). Came to this location around 9pm on a Wednesday night. The lady who made my food was in some sort of rush and made it seem like it was an inconvenience when I asked for extra salsa on my steak bowl. Secondly, how does Chipotle run out of chips? Pretty disappointing. Also, the guy in charge of working the cash register was pretty rude and didn't seem to care about customer satisfaction. Lastly, as I was eating my food, I watched the lady preparing customer orders go from washing the walls with chemicals to handling food with the SAME gloves. The service at this location is terrible and even though it's convenient location is nice, it's not worth my $20+. Save yourself the time and money and pick somewhere else to eat.

So it seems that 3/5 Chipotles you encounter have a new item!! Its called never having white rice. Third location i've been to in 2 months that not only ran out of white rice, but stopped serving it for the rest of the day. Not sure how their supply is during the day, but around 5pm on a Sunday, I was SOL. Sad turtle.

If I could put negative stars I would, i placed an online order which was so simple a first grader could put it together. I asked for a chicken bowl with corn and even put it under special instructions to make sure they caught it.. When I brought my food to work.. I noticed there was NO DAMN CORN! You would think such a simple task would not be so hard.. Thank you chipotle for ruining my lunch. Oh yeah, and the guacamole that came with my chips was the same color as baby vomit

This is the best service I have ever had at any Chipotle (and I've been to hundreds). Smiles from the moment I walked in the door. From the lady preparing my salad to the lady putting on chicken and salsa to the gentleman ringing me up. They threw in corn tortillas at no extra charge. No questions. A busser came by my table within seconds of sitting down to ask if everything was alright. This was better service than ive had at many fine dining restablishments. They really know how to treat customers!!! Definitely coming back.

Good Sofritas, I feel they act so stingy to add beans and veggies. For heavens sake its a veggie burrito what would you add if not for beans and veggies..Couldn't taste veggies at all. But I am a loyal chipotle fan and just like the way it tastes so this time as always i'll forgive them. The location is neat and big and they have lovely outdoor seating as well. They have a starbucks just adjacent to them and located in a kind of mall with REI, petsmart, bed bath and beyond, best buy. There is costco just across this location so in all its a great spot in the center of all the shopping.

I love chipotle in general. I usually get the burrito bowl. But I really hate how every person scoops different amounts. -.- This location scoops like half the amount of any other chipotle I've been to. Or maybe it was just that lady, I don't know but I always have to ask for "extra" but its not even extra -.-

Cooking quality varies from Chipotle to Chipotle. I get it...its easy to overcook the diced up chicken. But dry chicken is no fun. This location consistently cooks up perfectly moist chicken. Kudos to the cooks. Steak is always cooked spot on as well. Service has always been 5 star worthy. Keep it up!

Chipotle is the best. - For crossfit/protein folks like me, try the 'ghetto buritto bowl' - Always crowded during weekdays at lunch, come in at 11:30AM, or come after 12:30PM. Anything in between and you are in a big line.

Slowest Chipotle on the planet. If you have ever been to the one in the financial district in San Fran, you know what I'm talking about. San Fran has just as many people but gets through giant lines in no time. At this chipotle you will literally stand there for 20 minutes as the 3rd person in line while 4 people are "cooking" and one person is handling the line and one person is sitting on the register waiting for nothing. The people "cooking" are having a great time telling jokes, laughing and playing but slap while the customers wait. Heaven forbid you walk in when the line is long. Have a movie downloaded on you or phone if you want chipotle during peak hours at this place.

This place gets a Chipotle 4. Better service than most Chipotles. Short or quick lines, great service and professional staff. Never run out of items. Worlds better then the POS Chipotle on El Monte in Mountain View. That place should be run by whoever runs this place.

This one of those place the staff has no clue how to be clean and not put there hands in the food plate. I observed them when I was in the line almost every plate they served they were either putting the hand or dip a salsa spoon in bowl with meat. If you are vegetarian don't go here everything is mixed and even they add some chicken into my bowl. When I asked them I have chicken in my bowl staffs response was she removed the chicken from my bowl with her hands and give me the same bowl. But I still love chipotle.

I come here on days when I forget to or don't have time to pack my lunch for work. It's an easily accessible location and service is pretty quick. The place is clean and well lit. Good ventilation so you don't smell after you dine in. They also offer a good amount of outdoor seating for when the weather permits. Their produce here always seem fresh when I order and I never had a problem with the workers getting my order wrong. I mean, how could they when you tell them what to put into your food as you go down their assembly line? The only caveat is that sometimes their food is on the saltier side. I mean, you can literally see all the salt crystals stacked on one tortilla chip. It does get pretty packed here from 12-1pm on weekdays. I suggest you either try to get in around 11:30-45am before the crowd, or you can always order ahead of time and just pick up your order. Oh, and apparently, they know how to make the "secret menu" items. I've heard that not all locations make their secret menu stuff.

I'm going to have to up my previous negative review for a couple of reasons: Meat quality: You've gotta like the high standards they set for themselves, though it may not be as flavorful as the "real taqueria" equivalent. But I have noticed the flavor has improved lately. Burrito Bowl: OK, I know - all Chipotles have it. I do the barbacoa version with brown rice, black beans, and grilled veggies. Tasty, filling, good quality meat, and I get to skip all that wheat. I've started to crave it on a regular basis now; Quite nice with a bag of chips to provide that crunchy counterpoint. Speed and line management: This particular Chipotle has a large staff and really keeps the line moving. I've not seen another in the chain to match it. So yeah, I'll be back now and again. Don't hate me for going corporate.

Great place for a quick and easy bite to eat! Love the customer service here. When I told them I'm not a fan of cilantro, they actually made me a separate and special cilantro-free meal! Love it!!

As a frequent Chipotle go-er, I find this Chipotle to be a bit uptight. I have two teenage kids and they like to get extra rice, beans, corn, etc. in their burrito. According to Chipotle, you can get extras of everything except meat and guacamole. This Chipotle does give them some extras when they ask, but they make it appear as it's a big deal. The Chipotle in Cupertino, however, will load up their burrito and smile about how big it is. So, food is consistent, but their workers need to get a bit of training that some extra rice and beans is not the end of the world...

I usually try not to go here unless I'm absolutely don't have anything else to eat. However, since my last review of this place this establishment has seemed to made a change. Have they been reading the reviews of their complaining patrons? First I noticed that I got 1.5 scoops of meat. Yay! Then I noticed that happened a second time I came here. Plus when I asked for extra rice they obliged. They are a lot friendlier than before too. So happy! I am not longer afraid to visit this particular Chipotle. BUT we'll see how long this generosity lasts. One thing that I'm still complaining about it that they need to work on their burrito wrapping skills. Twice now there was a rip in my burrito.

I like chipotle a lot in general, but this location has unfriendly staff and totally skimps on the portion sizes by default. If you ask for a little more, they'll do it free of charge, but they'll probably give you a look.

just got today two bowls and it was the smallest amount of food I have ever have, it was like always kind of expensive but hey you paid for great food , however Getting tired of getting reap off from this particular place, some other Chipotle Restaurant have a great service this one lack of that! plus again the amount of food to small for $15 plus. I will probably try another near Restaurant like los Altos Taqueria or Las muchachas ! happy to paid if the service and the size of the serving its fair here at Chipotle's

This locale is built for those that work in an office right next to the freeway. Which is one of my friends unfortunately. They must be sick of this place by now. Im pretty much only down with the steak quesadilla in a flour tortilla. Makes for a consistent item that I can agree to. otherwise It's your standard Chipotle.

I've never really been a fan of Chipotle but have a few friends that love it. I've given Chipotle multiple tries to see if they will get it right, but they consistently fail. The food is almost always bland and the meat is always nasty. Their burrito bowls are better than their burritos, but not by much. After my last visit I was cursing myself for not drive a little further to La Costena or La Bamba. I ordered a burrito with chicken. First off the burrito was incredibly mushy which is a big turnoff. The meat was also terrible and clearly very low quality. The chicken in my burrito was a mixture of burnt grisly bits and too soft pieces. I couldn't tell what part of the chicken I was eating. I asked for spicy salsa, but there was no spice or flavor of any kind in this burrito. I ate less than half and threw the rest away. Lesson learned! If you want a well made, tasty burrito with good meat stick to one of the many wonderful taquerias in the area!

If you're in the mood for slightly over-priced americanized mexican (and sometimes you are, like me and that's ok) this is your place! The burritos are good in any form here, the bowl, in the traditional tortilla. It's all good except the guy wrapping it didn't do a very good job and it fell apart after the first 2 bites. No problem tho. The kids' meal -- a quesadilla was a puny tortilla with cheese thrown on a plancha and squished. The kiddo loved it but I'm knocking down 2 stars because the d-bag helping the cashier at the counter said, "you the one with the kids' quesadilla?" Me: yeah. D-bag throws it at me and says, "it's hot. Good luck with that"... One: it's shitty to throw food at anyone, much less a paying customer and two: no need for the douchey comment. It just makes you look bitter.

Chipotle Mexican Grill has added a red 'G', for GMOs, next to foods on its online menu that are made using ingredients from genetically modified crops like corn and soy. The chain restaurant, who states on its website that its long term goal is to eliminate GMOs from Chipotle's ingredients, has started switching the oil used in its fryers from soybean oil that's made from GM soybean crops to non-GMO sunflower oil. Chipotle's menu currently contains 24 items, half of which that have a red 'G'. In many cases, this is because corn is the core ingredient, like in its tortilla chips and tacos. In other cases, soybean oil is a core part of the recipe, like in its honey vinaigrette, rice and fajita vegetables. motherearthnews.com/real…

In a rush for dinner, so I stopped at Chipotle & ordered a bowl to go. The assembly guy plopped on about 1/2 a cup of salsa. When I said that was too much, he shrugged and said "sorry." So spicy, I couldn't eat it (he forgot to add the guacamole I asked for).

Ordered online since I knew I would be in a hurry and didn't want to have to deal with the lunch crowd. So glad I did as when I arrived to pick up my food, the line was out the door. What I swallowed: CARNITAS SALAD with BLACK BEANS, FAJITA VEGGIES, CORN SALSA, GUAC and LIGHT CHEESE: The meat was salty but the salad was really good. When I took the lid off my to-go bowl, the guacamole and cheese made a gross paste that stuck to the lid, which I had to scrap off and dump on my salad. The guacamole and the salty carnitas did well enough to not have to use the salad dressing included. My to-go order was for 12:45 and I arrived there on the nose. I only had to wait about five minutes for them to finish up before I was back on my way. Prepay online and you can go straight to the front of the line to pickup. (The line was about 35 people deep!). The carnitas was a bit salty and other then the guacamole/cheese mess, the salad was hearty and decent.

this is the worst chipotle ive been to... ever. the steak and rice were cold. it was the height of lunch hour, so it's not like things should be cold/sitting out right? the flavors were also extremely lacking. sigh. lastly, the biggest complaint... the portions were minuscule. i can usually split my burrito into 2 meals. this time around, i ate it ALL and was still hungry after. i was watching them scoop each measly half spoonful and wanted to cry. how super disappointing as i was really nicking for some yummy chipotle. guess just not at this location :(

Yuck! They would not make my burrito my way and insisted of heaping tons of cilantro on it!!!??? I asked them not to and they just ignored me. It was horrible and now i understand why McDonald's owns this lousy place. it tastes as bad as their food. The assembly line way of doing things is very impersonal and rude. They just wanted to hurry me through as fast as possible with crappy service. AVOID!

Not so much as a smile. The soda machine was out of syrup. The staff look depressed. The "chef" in the back his cooker was actually on fire and the serving staff were shouting at him to put it out. The burrito wasn't wrapped properly and fell apart. They need to get a supervisor from chipotle hq down here soon, this place is a mess. Sad. The food was still good though, but this place needs help.

In and out in 4 minutes flat! Super impressive compared to the other Bay Area Chipotles I've been to. Perhaps it's because it isn't in a prime location so the lines aren't as long as I am accustom to. If I am ever in the area again and the Chipotle craving hits me I will definitely be back for another carnitas burrito bowl with everything on it!

Great restaurant if you like Mexican fast food. Staff has changed over but it looks like they are synching together pretty good. Still a bit stingy with portions compared to others, but the food is good. Good to get here before 5:30pm or after 7:00pm.

Wow, what happened? Hubby picked up burritos this evening. They were cold. The rice el dente. (That works for pasta, not for rice in this case.) The meat skimpy. Like: "Where's the beef?" What happened? I might as well cook 'cause this ain't right. Had to seriously doctor the goods up myself & so w/that effort, I might as well made it myself. :-(

A couple weeks ago, I drove to this place to buy lunch. When I walked inside, this place was packed. I was a little worried that I wouldn't have enough time to eat lunch since the line was so long but I decided to order food from this place anyways. Fortunately, the line moved quite quickly. I was in and out in matter of minutes. I ordered the chicken bowl and chips & salsa. The chicken was juicy and the other ingredients were very fresh. Originally, the lady who packed my order forgot my chips and salsa. Good thing, the cashier heard me and reminded the expediter. Otherwise, I would've been so upset that I didn't get food that I actually paid for. If you're in the area and is craving for fresh Mexican food, I suggest getting it from here. Since this location is near a lot of businesses, the turnover rate for food is quite often.

Normally, I'd give a Chipotle 3 stars because it is what it is. But this visit was less pleasant than usual. A typical visit to Chipotle is like, slam, bam, thank you ma'am because the burrito making line is so darn efficient. This time, I stopped by around 5pm on a weekday with a friend so the store was fairly empty as expected. I am fairly particular about what I want in my burritos or tacos, and I wasn't feeling especially hungry. So, I went with a quesadilla with chicken. I asked for the adobo chicken and was surprised that they wouldn't put any pico de gallo or salsa in it. The middle lady in the assembly line of 3 people who was a middle aged woman very rudely told me that the pico de gallo only goes in the plain cheese quesadilla. Are you telling me that I am going to pay over $4.50 for quesadilla with only cheese, tomatoes, and onions?! Ridiculous! She also said that, with the pico de gallo, my quesadilla of only cheese and chicken would be considered a burrito. Really lady? What about the part where they add the lettuce and rice and beans?! Mostly, I was just upset at how rude she was. She basically yelled to stop the other people in the assembly line from adding anything to my quesadilla. She could have told me that it would cost extra. Ultimately, I asked the cashier for a bit of pico de gallo, which he gave me without an additional charge. I just had to open up my quesadilla and add it myself, making a huge mess in the process, of course. I might be off my rocker because I don't visit Chipotle all that often, but I thought that they customer was always right and that they were pretty willing and happy to make changes. In the past, I have asked for rice on my tacos without any fuss as well. This lady was just cranky pants who woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I hope that the store management works on her attitude problem. All of the other workers seemed very friendly. Maybe she was just disgruntled because she was definitely the oldest person working there.

No need to rate this damm place. It's what I'd eat if I'm only allowed to eat one item for a whole month on an island. I mean, seriously, you got your nutrients and your whole mouth flavorized with the chicken or steak or pork or whatever heck you want... If you never ate chipotle, before, just read the comments. Notice how almost all comments are in one sentence or two words? Yea...that's explains it all. The only place where even words can't describe the awesomeness of Chipotle. Now go there!

After a long drive to the Bay, I decided to stop in Mountain View and pay a visit to an old friend. It was about dinner time and he just left the Dojo so we decided to grab a bite to eat. He had a BOGO coupon for Chipotle and, while I know it's basically unauthentic Mexican food, it sounded pretty darn good right then. I ordered the steak burrito with all the fixing's. I unfortunately found a bit of tendon in my meat which made it tough to chew and got caught in my teeth. Is this the price we pay for a quick, thrown together meal? The service was quick as expected but a bit disorganized so orders seemed to get mixed up. Other than that, it was a decent burrito and tasted even better since it was BOGO. A favorite stop of Googlers, Stanford students, and startup folks, this location had a huge outdoor patio where people often bring their dogs while on their breaks. It's a great place to people watch but a true pain in the butt to get to since cars rarely yield long enough to make the turn toward the plaza. However, if I lived in the area, I'm sure I'd be stopping in more than once in a while for a big, healthy-ish burrito. Food: 7/10 Service: 6/10 Price: $ Atmosphere: 7/10

Oh Chipotle. This location is the closest to my house, therefore I'll come here pretty often. It's tucked away in a small shopping center that has Petco, Starbucks, Best Buy, REI, and Bed Bath and Beyond. If you're looking to do some shopping there or at Costco, then grabbing a quick bite at Chipotle might not be a bad idea. There's plenty of seating inside and outside, but the line does get pretty long during lunch hours. Other than that, it's pretty much the same as any other Chipotle location.

The food: It's yummy, and that's why I keep going back. If you've never experienced Chipotle, it's simple. They make your entree to order. Select taco, bowl, salad or burrito. Select your meats then select your fixings. Oh... and you buy bottle bear- extra special experience for a fast food joint. Meats are full of flavor with complex seasonings. Carne asada is my choice. The service: The assembly line of them making your choice of taco, owl, salad or burrito. However, because this place's food is very yummy, there are long lines, depending on when you go. With that said, because it's so packed at peek times, there aren't enough seatings on the inside, but you can enjoy their small outdoor area that is shared with the Starbucks next door. Overall, go, enjoy the food but if you go during peek... take it to go. It's my best advice for you. *Happy eating, and happy helping!

I ate a late lunch because I had things to do at work that I wanted to get done. There were a bunch of people here already eating despite the fact that it was almost 2pm. I looked at the menu quickly and decided what I want. I already knew what to expect in terms of taste. I ordered a steak burrito ($6.10) and a soda for $8.19 total. I don't think I added guacamole because that was like $2? (can't remember) extra money to add (same as all other locations but prices will vary). I got some mild salsa and sour cream and I forgot if those cost money to add or not. I ate my burrito and it was pretty much like other locations I've tried - okay. The staff were friendly and the place looked clean. There were a bunch of seats outside. I'll be back because there's not a lot of other choices around my work. lol

I gave one extra star for the 2for1 coupon and another extra star for the entertainment... provided by the customers. Otherwise, I have to agree with most of the disgruntled people here. I'm the one who is used to getting paid when I'm rushed. I'm not into the "mess hall" chow line like a few of the soldiers who were there. I don't want any mess hall drill sergeants barking at me over the slop that I couldn't choose fast enough. I'm also used to getting exactly what I order, especially when I ask for it twice. I really wished I had brought my glasses. I'm used to trusting servers to get my order right, esp. in a fast food joint where the menu is so simple. The tiny lady in the expediting line fiddled for a minute with what I thought was steak because it had char marks (which I requested 2X) in the tacos, but it turned out to be chicken when I looked at the receipt. "Do I bother going back to tell them my order isn't right?" No. I didn't want to go back. I didn't want to look back But I do hope to see more of the same customers in, maybe, a real taqueria. Then again, I wouldn't experience the gnashing, slippery, sloppy social media farm animal insanity with hot sauce squirting all over iPhones and tablets. Come to think of it, if I want taqueria prices, I'll go to a real taqueria. If I want fast food, I'll go to Taco Bell. If I want meat from organic, pastured farm animals, I'll buy it myself. If I want mess hall drill sergeants, I'll join the army. You go ahead and enjoy yourself at the hipster's taqueria pretendiente. Not me.

Chipotle is great but this location always seems to be struggling. We frequent this location a lot since it's right by our house but over the last 5 or more visits it's been taxing on our patience. There seems to be high turn over so they are often training new staff who make mistakes that require starting over and causing delays. The soda machine is perpetually out of ice or coke syrup. And they sometimes run out of an ingredient. I'll continue to go because it's convenient but it's rather disappointing, "there's always something."

It would be 4 stars but I just eat here too much to be able to appreciate it at that level. You know what you are getting at Chipotle. It's not going to knock your socks off but it will fill you up and leave you ready to pass out in a good way. Someone's review mentioned the service is rushed and horrible...I'm not looking for a friend at Chipotle. I'm looking at a consistently packed food venue and people who know how to shuttle one customer after the next through so I can get my massive burrito quickly. Enjoy the rushed service.

I grew up near the first Chipotle that opened in Denver and I have been to a bunch of them. This is the only one I have been to that is consistently out if stuff and doesn't prepare things the same as other stores. You can get a chicken bowl here and have no guacamole, varying amounts of chicken, and a stunned cashier working on someone else when you ask for corn tortillas on the side. Weak. Gives them a bad name.

I first discovered Chipotle in college and fell in love with the chain. Why? Quick, efficient, but most of all-delicous! Some refer to a restaurant with this rare and unique combination as the Trifecta of restaurants. I, like many of the target customers for this area work within minutes of driving and on good days, walking, yeah sometimes my boss makes me earn my lunch. Around peak lunch hours of 12-2pm the line can be seen starting out the door with the surrounding tables buzzing with customers. But don't be deterred! If you've looked into how the Chipotle model works, essentially their system in prepping and serving food is meant to optimize customer satisfaction in quick and friendly service. Today I got there around 12:30pm to pick up a few orders for myself and a couple of my coworkers-the line was just at the door and I was preparing for a 20 minute wait. In actuality I only waited for less than 10 minutes and got all 3 orders in the blink of an eye! Since I started working in the area back in September, I've been able to try a bit of everything-my typical order would consist of a chicken burrito bowl, black beans some lettuce and a bit of each salsa. Anyway, if you're in the area and are looking for a quick, filling and delicious lunch this is the place to go for lunch; healthy and friendliest chain around!

I come here frequently for lunch and usually get a burrito bowl. Recently I got a quesadilla (nothing fancy just meat and cheese) and when I asked for some extra salsas on the side they insisted I'd have to pay full burrito price! booo chipotle. I can understand if i'm asking for other stuff in my quesidilla but salsa, come on!

I tagged along with a coworker to this location. I've NEVER had Chipotle before, but my son keeps telling me that it's good stuff. So to break it down - it's like a Subway, but for Mexican food. I LOVE IT! Where else can you customize your burritos in a fast efficient and hassle-free way without getting a stink eye from an order-taker when you ask for no cheese and extra sour cream, light on the guacamole, and instead of beans can I have lettuce? At Chipotle - they're happy to do it for you. The grilled chicken is tasty. The veggies seem fresh. The staff at this location seem really friendly. I'm surprised they dont' have red rice. You get only white rice or brown rice. Who wants white rice in a burrito? Sounds bland. - and believe me - I'm a super huge fan of white rice. (Just not in my burritos) Anyway, I got a humongo customized burrito that I couldn't finish for $6. Can you say DEALS??

I used to *love* chipotle but it has been some years since I've been there so when my foodie extraordinaire boyfriend suggested that we meet there for lunch, I was really looking forward to it. I wanted to get what I always ordered there in the past - a veggie fajita burrito ($5.75 - though back in my day you could get these babies for $5.25!) and we split an order of their delicious chips and guac. Their burritos are huge (think small children) but I managed to finish half of my burrito and put a dent into the chips and guac and was stuffed afterwards and nearly fell asleep back at my desk. Pros: *mmm, just as I remembered! That's the one good thing about chain restaurants, you can order something again and again, even years later and it still tastes consistently good! *holy guacamole! Chipotle has the best guac (so smooth) and the best chips you can find in this area (just the right amount of sea salt and lime). *Friendly staff - being a nonwaited restaurant I never expected for the employee cleaning the table next to me to ask me how my meal was, but he did! (perhaps it was the mesmerized look on my face after being deprived of chipotle for all these years ;) Cons: *This particular location seems to get really busy around lunch time and there's limited parking and indoor seating (on a cold January day I was not excited about sitting outside but we were able to move inside after some people left). Tips: *According to my boyfriend who frequents this location, the key is to go early to beat the lunchtime rush! (we arrived around 12:45pm). *If you're just picking up, place your order online so it will be ready when you arrive - they also have curbside parking for quick pickups. *I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but these things are not low in calories so know what you're eating - for nutrition information visit: chipotlefan.com/index.ph…

Good location right before you head into the freeway also near a Costco and REI. There is plenty of parking. Burrito bowls are getting filled less and less but the food still tastes great. I always get the carnitas bowl, seasoned just right. This location can get really busy so they also have a nice big patio with tables/umbrellas which I love but at the same time your right next to a busy street so its loud and you're breathing in exhaust fumes. It would have been nice if they put some large plants/trees to block some of that off. Oh & Watch out for those annoying pigeons! They walk around like they own the place, they must be used to people feeding them scraps.

I lived off Chipotle in college (not this location, mind!) I'm talking 3 to 7 times/week, sometimes as my only meal of the day. Bountiful burritos stuffed full with savory carnitas and all the sour cream a growing boy needs. The employees knew me by name, and the manager gave me and my housemates free food. Since then, prices have went way up and both quantity and quality has went slightly down. I ask them to load my burrito up, and they don't rise to the challenge anymore. I'm paying probably 40% more per quantity than I used to. This location doesn't live up to the one by my college. Service is still good, though. Even if I'm not getting free food :-) Still enjoy coming here, but it's no longer magic.

It's okay for a Chipotle. I don't really like Chipotle. The best part of the meal are the chips and salsa/guacamole. The food is always fresh and they're always quick making the orders. It's always ready when you create the order online also. If you like Chipotle this is a nice one. Usually if I get something here I drown it in Chipotle Tobasco sauce and that makes it better...

Sad face. Oh Chipotle... I have to take one star away... because when did you become so stingy? :( The new guy they hired doesn't give you nearly as much food as they used to... plus it always seems that they rush a little bit too much on the line these days... quality has gone down a little bit since I started going here... they're always running out of stuff during the lunch hour for some reason now... so I somehow always manage to get stuck with the "leftovers." Didn't think they would be impacted so much that their assembly line speediness would be affected... Literally... the "scoop" of chicken is like half a scoop... which is really just a smattering of 15-20 small cubes of chicken now... I can't even find the chicken half the time. If you're lucky, you'll get one of the more experienced guys that knows what's going on and they'll pile on the food properly! Otherwise... your burrito bowl is going to look pretty sad. *Cries* If you're lucky... they might give you a little more... if you ask nicely. Otherwise... go during an off hour... maybe it'll be better then.

Foodies will judge me for this one I'm sure, and after I write this review I'm sure I'll be banned from all foodie conventions and secret foodie meetings (which I am sure exist, like freemasons except more intense). NEVERTHELESS. I make the sacrifice to you, dear Yelp reader, to find the food that is truly delicious, rather than judged delicious by hipsters. So here goes: Chipotle is pretty good. Is Chipotle authentic Mexican food? No, not really. But when I clicked that 4 star button up there, it didn't say "Authentic food" on the right side. It said "Yay! I'm a fan." And I am a fan because the food is delicious, authentic or not. The carnitas are great and the burritos are so massive that you can eat one for lunch and not be hungry for dinner. So suck it, foodies. And by "it" I don't mean a Chipotle burrito because you're too pretentious to do something like that. Chipotle is AWESOME.

What else is there to say? Tastes good like any other whenever I am in the food for Americanized Hispanic food.Chipotle

Damn this place skimps on the meat! And the burrito I got today was way overstuffed (which I wouldn't have minded if it were overstuffed with meat, but it was just lettuce and onions), so it basically fell apart the moment I took it out of the foil. Chips were stale and too salty. I normally enjoy Chipotle but this location just doesn't cut it.

I crave Chipotle. ALL.THE.TIME. Burrito bowl all the way! I don't know what else to say....

Trying to eat healthier (doesn't help that they sell good Mexican beer, but I can live with that)...this place helps-out with that plan and tastes good too. I got the burrito bowl with guac...very good stuff. I'll be going back.

This store is very stingy on their portions. I asked for more and was told no. By the end my burrito bowl had still empty space left. Not returning here. Other stores will fill the bowl at least. 1 star cuz I like the food.

I have been coming to chipotle for a long time now. Chipotle uses fresh ingredients in their food. When you are in Mtn View and have many choices for mexican food, then it makes more sense to go to a more authentic taqueria, which is way tastier. The only reason I would come to this location is if I am looking for a healthier alternative to a burrito and want the bowl.

Their salad bowls are ohhhh soooo good. And I don't feel guilty eating it since its pretty healthy. They're super busy during lunch hours so go earlier or order online and pick it up. The line was wrapped around inside of their building but it went by pretty quick considering how long it was. Try: Salad bowl with chicken, grilled vegetables, black beans, pico de gallo, corn, guacamole. No Dressing. YUM!

Service sucks.... In a hurry service & quantity is not proportionate; basically depending on line size it changes. It's cheap but not that cheap to provide this kind of service... Won't be back here, will stick to my El Camino & Mathilda location.

Not bad. Not great. It's what you'd expect for a chain "burrito" shop. It's good if you want a very generic "wrap" that has meat, rice, \beans and salsa. None of the individual ingredients make my mouth sing, so it's a good place to go for generic food. If I come here, I just get the salad bowl... this means chopped lettuce with beans, chicken, and salsa. I rarely use the dressing they give because the chicken already has a lot of sauce on it, and any more would be overkill. Now, if you want something that actually has some flavor, spice and some authenticity, head down the block to Taqueria La Bamba (2-3 blocks away), or even La Costena for some real burritos.

Yummy! Healthy! Quick.. Fresh ingredients.. A great place to catch a quick snack.. My favorite is the Veggie Fajita bowl - without rice Their salsas are yummy.. The seating is no-frills comfortable. Another one of my staples.. Go there - you won't regret it..

Never can go wrong with Chipotle. I usually go to the one in union city or fremont. but otherwise this place didn't differ from any other chipotle that i have been to. my favorite are the burrito bowls ... the rice they use is suuuuper yummy!

Chipotle is the "In-n-Out" of burritos and tacos. Simple menu, fresh ingredients, reasonably priced and all-American. For the most part, a tasty and relatively healthy alternative to Togo's. However, what I don't like is the steak of late carrying lots of fat; having to spit half the meat out of my $6+ burrito is not a good deal. The fat chunks have been pretty large, too. Very disappointing. Chipotle, I hope you're reading this, else you'll be losing a star very soon.

I've been here a few times, and I generally get the same good quality in both food and customer service. But tonight was a little different. The server behind the counter looks at me and says, "What do you want on your tacos, sir?" Now, I may not have been feeling particularly feminine at that moment, but I certainly don't look like a sir. You could tell he felt bad for saying that, so I tried to joke it off with him. However, he apologized and ended up giving my food for free. Although it was completely unnecessary, I appreciated his attempt to make up for mistaking me for a man. So, to summarize, you can generally get yummy food here and, if they mistake you for the wrong gender, you may get it for free.

i came here on a sunday afternoon, so maybe it was bad timing. they're usually pretty good about being stocked all the other times i came here, but today was just a line of noobs behind the counter and grill. they were out of chicken and steak, and when we asked how long it'll take for them to come out, they told us "shortly" but really it was 15 minutes. one of the workers behind the counter asked an old man behind me if he would wanna try some pork instead of chicken, but the man said no because he wants a low fat meal, and chicken has the lowest amount of fat. then the worker turned around to ask another worker if pork is low in fat, lol what a scrub. when the steak and chicken finally came out, the scrubs behind the counter kept serving the new people in line and totally forgot about the rest of us waiting right next to them...?? should've taken a picture of these noobs and posted it here, but didn't get the chance. oh well, you'll be able to tell just by looking at them anyway.

I wish I could understand white peoples love of this mediocre "mexican" food. I guess because I live in North East San Jose I know real mexican and this ain't it. Got the barbocoa with black beans and extra hot sauce but everything was still bland. Not recommended unless desperate.

The brown rice is not cooked 100%... Its half cooked. Avoid brown rice or you will get stomach ache otherwise the food is fresh and good. Also, I am not sure if people have noticed that the 'serving size of the chicken' is reduced or less now...??

the line was suppppppper long. but amazingly.. it went by pretty quickly. :) the burrito bowls are awesome! last time i was hereee they got confused and so we got 2 burrito bowls for the price of one.. hehehehhehe shh ! it was awesome ! i like how it's super clean and close by to other stores in the plaza.

Zesty quick salad near shopping. Excited to discover another yum salad choice with options! Salad of fresh Romaine lettuce (you choose the rest) I added pinto beans, chicken, cheese and guacamole which turned out pretty darn good. No dressing/salsa needed unless you want to turn up the zesty factor. Dog Friendly - Three paws for lots of outdoor tables and no waiters to deal with, although need a partner to watch the pooch when you get food and the chicken is a bit too spicy for my dogs tummy to give him a share.

I HATE Mexican food, but I love Chipotle. Probably because it's not at all authentic. But who cares? It's delicious, light, healthier than your usual burritos. Think In-n-Out style menu -- there are only a few options, but what they do have, they make them WELL. Love love love love love it.

Of all the places to get good burritos in Mountain View (La Bamba, La Costena, Burrito Real), this would not be the place to go! As they were making my burrito, the lady asked me twice which salsa I wanted, I told her the hot red one, but she proceeded to pour the tomatillo green one. Why ask if you were going to do what you wanted to anyway??? She offered to make a new one but I didn't want to make trouble for their already shoddy assembly line system of ordering and paying. I don't think we'll come here again!

Just opened up on Charleston by 101 and down the road from In N Out. Fan of the Barbacoa and Carnitas. Chipotle over Baja Fresh any day! Next to a Starbucks (yes ANOTHER one) for all you caffeine junkies.

I resisted Chipotle for the longest time - my first experience at one on Orlando was a real letdown and I passed them by for years after wards. But when this one opened near my office I decided to give it another try. Yes, there are many (MANY) great and far more authentic burrito places within a mile. And no, Chipotle is no substitute when you want the real deal. But hey, they are good at what they do. I like the idea of having the thing constructed right in front of me. The assembly line process though just moves too fast - and your food is literally touched by 4 or 5 different folks before it reached the end of the counter. Worse yet, each of these people just can't wait to get it moved to the next station . . . each and every time I'm here I I have to say "go back for another salsa please" or something similar. In principle you get everything but Guac for the basic price, in practice though the assemblers would be more than happy to hand you a tortilla with a couple of beans inside - just to move it along. All of this makes me sound less than happy which isn't entirely true. Like I said, the idea that I can get whatever I want (or don't) inside appeals to me and when I manage to slow down the machine enough to actually have that promise realized I usually construct a really pleasant handful of food. I love the carnitas, but recently found that the veggie burrito gives up very little flavor wise - and is probably somewhat more healthy. Oh, I for one don't care who owns them (or doesn't). JF

It's amazingly fast! Only takes less than 2 minutes to get my favorite fajita burrito. The place looks clean and the price is reasonable. You can also grab a cup of Starbucks next door.

It's just decent. I've been there about three time really for the sake of convenience and I've noticed that the food is very salty - especially the chips. There are better mexican places in the area.

When my stomach calls, Chipotle is the answer. Quick and great food. Yes, there are many authentic taquerias and burrito places in the area, ie La Costena and El Grullense but when you are craving Chipotle, nothing else does the trick. What White Castle is to Harold and Kumar . . .Chipotle is to me . . . minus the pot induced munchies. Tacos are really good too; I suggest getting the crispy tacos and getting one of each meat. Guacamole and chips are a great side as well. I would not suggest getting the margaritas here but everything else is great. Also, if you are a student, show your id for a free drink . . .deal going away sometime in 2008.

ok ok, after years of saying how much I HATE Chipotle. I had this coupon and decided to retry. BAD IDEA. As usual/expected my carnitas burrito was horribly bland. There seemed to be a very small amount of cheese and the meat had no flavor. I still think the biggest failure for this place is the white rice. I KNOW its supposed to be cilantro lime rice or whatever. It is WHITE RICE. In a Burrito - it has no flavor!!! Their guac is quite good - one extra star!

I have never, ever, been unsatisfied with Chipotle. And I have never, ever finished one of their burritos. Granted, I am a girl, and I am fairly confident that most men with a healthy appetite would be able to finish them off, but they are damn big burritos. I have been to many Chipotle's in the bay area and in CO, and I have found that the food is always consistent. And that may be because I have never gotten anything aside from the veggie burrito. Good gravy, it is heavenly! Cilantro rice, black beans, mild salsa, cheese, sour cream, guac and lettuce: that is my idea of a damn good burrito. Occasionally I will splurge and get chips and guacamole, and it is well worth it. The guac is fresh and tasty. If you go to this place during the lunch rush, you will always find a line, but they are so fast with making the food that you never have to wait long. There are lots of seats, inside and out, but you may be hard pressed to find a place to sit during that busy time, as tons of people come here. The staff has always been friendly, my order always right. I have absolutely no complaints. Two things of interest: *They have beer here. Hooray! *You can fax/phone in your order and then just go and pick it up without waiting.

Classic Chipotle restaurant. Service has ranged from acceptable to outstandingly friendly. Food on par with the best Chipotle's I've frequented around the country.

Nothing spectacular, but if you're in the area for some reason, this is a nice place to stop by for a burrito, for like $6. There's a little outdoor seating area where you can, um, watch the cars go by.

Good place to grab a fresh burrito or tacos. Yes this place is pretty yuppie and I don't really care if meat is free range or the salsa is organic or whatever. What I do like is that there is fast service, its convenient, tastes good, and fresh. Kind of expensive, but overall just a good quick place to get a yummy burrito. I also like the outdoor seating area during the spring/summer.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
